i'm at work and i just turned on the DNC because of everything going on today i did not want to miss Gabby leading the pledge of allegiance. i thought it started at 5 pm???

Harry Reid was great.

a co-worker was out last night and she asked who she should make sure to see. i said harry reid, patrick deval, strickland (can't recall his first name), the family with the child with half a heart...all of them.

a little irony with my tea this morning

i watch rachel maddow while getting ready for work. this morning (last night's show) she is slamming the republicans generally and romney quite a lot - it's a good show

so far of the two commercials i listened to, both were romney commercials.

just paying the bills and i doubt if she has any control over it. in the past i've been sickened by oil company commercials on her show many times. just a bit...ironic don't you agree?

Man Shoots Guard At Family Research Council Headquarters

WASHINGTON — A man shot a security guard at the headquarters of the conservative Family Research Council on Wednesday morning in downtown Washington, D.C.

The guard was shot in the arm before the shooter was subdued, according to reports.

While Fox News claimed “sources” said the gunman “expressed disagreement with the conservative group’s policy positions,” two FBI officials cautioned reporters that early eyewitness accounts are often inaccurate and said it was too early to speak to the suspect’s motivation.

The unnamed suspect, described by one witness who saw him in handcuffs as a middle-aged man, is currently in custody and being interviewed by authorities. Officials from the Metropolitan Police Department; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; and the FBI are on the scene.

i don't get white supremacism.

how pathetic does a life have to be if all you can hang on to is the fact that you're white and some other people are not? how is it possible that they don't have other more engaging and positive ways to spend their energy?
how can there be whole communities built on something so negative and, just, just NOTHING?! they've got nothing that recommends their mindset. nothing that makes it make sense to a thinking person.
i don't want to get it. down with racism, bigotry and hate. it's the 21st century, catch up already. here we ALL are on this planet together. all human, all together on the planet. we need to do better and be better.
