It was a thing of beauty! Video here:

It's part of the second minute, at around 1:15. The first part is Ostroff speaking of the incumbents' corruption.

FOX News walked up rolling live, and I appreciated the free air time!

Also, Kelly Loeffler campaigned with a klansman.

Earlier tonight, Japan's Hayabusa-2 spacecraft paid a call on Earth to drop off its box of rocks...

... before zipping away to its next mission. The box of rocks - okay, it's called the capsule - is heading for Woomera, South Australia. It will be tracked by the satellite dishes of the Canberra branch of the Deep Space Network. It's scheduled to arrive between 12 - 1PM Eastern Time.

The rock sample was taken from 2 locations on Ryugu, a near-earth object /asteroid.

North Fork (L.I.) Country Club has liquor license suspended after hosting 'super-spreader' wedding..

A once in a lifetime event...

One of the things the governor did earlier was to issue an emergency rule enabling the liquor authority to suspend licenses when violations occur, rather than after the appeal process is done. The article didn't mention the amount of the state fine, but I suspect that it will be a steep one.

CUTCHOGUE, N.Y. (WCBS 880) — Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Monday announced the state has suspended the liquor license of a Long Island country club after the venue hosted a wedding which turned into a COVID-19 super-spreader event.

The North Fork Country Club, in Cutchogue, hosted a 113-guest wedding on Oct. 17, resulting in 34 positive COVID-19 infections, 159 people in quarantine and the closure of some schools. Currently, gathering limits in New York cap at just 50 people.

“As we have seen in weddings and similar events across the country during this pandemic, large gatherings can easily be super-spreader events, too often with dire consequences. Hosting one of these events after all New York has been through is obnoxious and irresponsible - not to mention illegal,” Cuomo said. “We are eight months into this pandemic and simply will not tolerate businesses that put New Yorkers at risk. Those who continue to ignore the rules will lose their ability to serve alcohol, and I thank Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone and his team for their cooperation in holding these bad actors accountable.”
....
On Nov. 6, the New York State Liquor Authority charged the North Fork Country Club with multiple counts of failure to comply with Cuomo’s executive orders concerning COVID restrictions, and failure to exercise adequate supervision of their premises.

Suffolk County Executive Bellone (D) also announced last month that the county was fining the venue $17,000.

“This type of blatant disregard for the well being of others is not only extremely disappointing, it will not be tolerated,” he said. “Suffolk County took swift action to contain the community spread this wedding could have caused, and I commend Governor Cuomo for taking appropriate action. If you violate the rules, you will be caught and you will be held responsible.”

They expect to have imagery of the event tomorrow morning..

In the meanwhile, Bennu:

Bennu: Full Rotation at a Distance of 50 Miles

This series of images taken by the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft shows Bennu in one full rotation from a distance of around 50 miles (80 km). The spacecraft’s PolyCam camera obtained the 36 2.2-millisecond frames over a period of four hours and 18 minutes.

Here you go: Biden's timing at the organization, from the WFP annual reports:

He began the role in 2011, and is listed as Chairman in their 2011 annual report. See the board list on page 14:
https://www.wfpusa.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/03/WFP_USA_Annual_Report_2011.pdf

He is also shown as the chair in the 2012, 2013, 2014, and 2015 reports. (See the collection of the annual reports shown here. Just scroll down a bit:
https://www.wfpusa.org/about-us/financial-information/annual-reports/)

In 2016, there was new chair, but Biden is still listed as a board member. He continued on the Board in 2017. He is no longer listed as a member in 2018.

The 2010 report is the earliest available on the webpage linked above. However, it does not list the trustees in the report, as the subsequent reports do. So, it's not clear if he was already on the board when he was named the chair.

Also, it's not at all uncommon for chair-persons of organizations to serve a fixed term. He was the role for 5 years. It's perfectly reasonable for him to have rotated out at that point.

GOES West satellite imagery of the Eastern Pacific, taken every 30 minutes over the last 18 hours. (The most recent is usually around 40 minutes old.):

You'll need to click the 'play' button on the upper left. Give it a few moments to load the imagery panels.

This viewer is a collaboration by a NOAA subsidiary and the University of Colorado. It has weather imagery spanning the globe from the US (GOES West of the Eastern Pacific and GOES East (W. Atlantic), Japan (Himawari-8 over the W. Pacific), and EU's Meteosats of the Indian and Eastern Atlantic oceans. It also has a view looking from over the North Pole, via NOAA/NASA's Joint Polar Satellite System.
