I think that, truthfully, most everybody wants Gitmo to go away but there are some cowardly Reps and Senators whom are afraid to let them go on the off chance that some of them really are dangerous and might turn around and harm US citizens (or even those whom weren't actually guilty but have been detained for so long they have become radicalized). However, frankly, at this point, we really don't have any good options. We should've weeded all of them out a long time ago and charged the guilty parties and resettled the rest. I think we really just need to act with all deliberate speed to get rid of the remaining prisoners and shutter up the prison IMHO.
I don't get it
When was she ever really coherent? What exactly made conservatives FINALLY notice? Most of the rest of us have known since 2008.
Let's face it
They do NOT want an "alternative" for PPACA. They want it gone. Dead. Buried. Period. They want things to go back to where they were pre-PPACA. It's what their debased "base" wants. It's what their corporate contributors want. They can't and won't DO anything because ANYTHING more than what they we had pre-PPACA is too much for their base to handle/support and all of their various replacement "ideas" are too little for everybody else. Although the PPACA didn't quite go far enough, it was actually pretty brilliant for President Obama to champion its more limited approach because it basically left the GnOP with nowhere to go legislatively and yet still is a significant improvement in the system.

But totally unjustified IMHO. Also, if we want some good progressive legislation for her to sign if POTUS, we need to fight for a more progressive Congress. I don't know about you but I want HRC, not a Republican selecting the next SCOTUS judge(s)

Yup. President Obama, despite his overwhelming victory in 2008, got dealt a bad deck of cards (he had to deal with some bad Dems and a nasty and very unified opposition)- but he managed to achieve some impressive accomplishments nonetheless. And best of all, he didn't sit around and complain about it even though I'm sure he wishes he could've done more.
Whatever position he had in 2008
By 2012 he came around on same-sex marriage (in fact the entire Democratic Party now supports it) Which prospective Republican candidate(s) will "come around" on same-sex marriage anytime this century? I don't care if we have to occasionally drag a timid Democratic politician over to the right side of an issue. At least, most of them eventually see the light. Republicans OTOH aren't going to listen to ANYTHING we have to say about anything.
Just in time for SCOTUS to (maybe) gut subsidies for residents in GOP stronghold states
The law is working as intended (or maybe better) and the Republicans are literally salivating for SCOTUS to try to remove subsidies, which would effectively take many people back to having unaffordable premiums if they weren't lucky enough to be born in/currently reside in one of the 14 states to have created their own state health insurance exchange- all over a stupid drafting error that any sane and/or intelligent individual would still understand the legislative intent behind.
Republicans just can't stand anybody helping people less fortunate than them.

Indiana hasn't expanded Medicaid and our governor is very eager for SCOTUS to kill ACA subsidies to purchase health care coverage.

They are suddenly noticing all of the problems in the health care system that they mostly ignored before and giving the misleading impression that ACA is the culprit. Assuming that Republicans don't get further chances to weaken the law, some of the worst excesses of the system will be improved/are improving but there is much more reform that needs to get done
