When I was a child, I found a robin's nest with eggs in it in the tiny woods in my backyard. My father instructed me not to touch it, but I couldn't resist. The eggs cracked and crumbled into a soupy mess. I had never felt so terrible in all my life. I had destroyed something beautiful.
I am in my 50s now, and I remember this feeling whenever my father instructs me in the ways of the world.
Those broken eggs pierced my heart. I have never bothered another nest, nor will I, for the rest of my life.
Is this feeling that I experienced what is missing from today's church?
For your consideration -

Thoughts on falling asleep
What do you do to unwind and get ready to sleep?
Do you have a nighttime ritual that works for you?
How do you get your mind to a place where you can stop thinking and fall asleep?

Bob Weir is one of the leading rock guitarists in the world, called the genres greatest, if most eccentric rhythm guitarist. As a founding member of The Grateful Dead, he helped establish that groups signature sound. His own projects, including Ratdog and Furthur among others, cemented him as one of the driving forces in the world of rock music and jam bands. Weir now presents a solo acoustic show that proves he is a musician as durable and expansive as the music he has created.
