Oklahoma non-binary high schooler dies after physical altercation

OWASSO, Okla. – Located in Tulsa County on U.S. Highway 169 six miles north of Tulsa’s city limits, this city of 39,328 persons is grappling with conflict and accusations after Nex (Dagny) Benedict, a 16-year-old Owasso High School non-binary sophomore, died after a physical fight in a restroom at the school.

However, according to school officials there was no notification or staff awareness of the fight until the young student had been taken to hospital and later died. The Owasso Police Department is now investigating the circumstances surrounding the student’s death.

According to the local newspaper, the Owasso Reporter:

On Wednesday, Feb. 7, around 3:30 p.m., police were called to Bailey Medical Center by the parent of a 16-year-old Owasso High School student who allegedly had a physical altercation at the campus earlier that day, according to the police report.

The Brothers Sun on Netflix

Michelle Yeoh does a bang up job in this eight parter that seems to be hoping for a return given the after credits scene. Drama, Kung Fu and some LOL comedy made it an enjoyable watch for me. And don't get me started on the best nod to Jurassic Park of the year.

If Tx keeps squealing about secession, let's see if we can pull all our shit out and sell them back to Mexico?

And then to not have to change the flag bring Puerto Rico in?

Mr. and Mrs. Smith on Amazon Prime

Just dropped and I have only seen the first of eight current episodes and it's not too bad. Likeable leads in a fairly "nothing new" sort of story line but good fodder for rainy afternoons.

Amelia Earhart's long-lost plane possibly spotted in the Pacific by exploration team

Source: npr

Deep Sea Vision, an ocean exploration company based in South Carolina, announced Saturday that it captured compelling sonar images of what could be Earhart's aircraft at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.

The discovery was made possible by a high-tech unmanned underwater drone and a 16-member crew, which surveyed more than 5,200 square miles of ocean floor between September and December.

The team spotted the plane-shaped object between Australia and Hawaii, about 100 miles off Howland Island, which is where Earhart and her navigator, Fred Noonan, were supposed to refuel but never arrived.

The shape of the object in the sonar images closely resembles Earhart's aircraft, a Lockheed Electra, both in size and tail. Deep Sea Vision founder, Tony Romeo, said he was optimistic in what they found.

Charlie or Flowers for Algernon?

Borgnine or Robertson? And it seems there was a more recent mini series out there as well. I have seen both the earlier theatrical versions but sooo long ago I don't remember much more than the story and that I enjoyed them at the time.

Opinions?
