*Today's 🍒 on top* -- Don Jr. Defends the Alleged Kenosha Shooter: 'We All Do Stupid Things at 17'

https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/935jx7/don-jr-defends-the-alleged-kenosha-shooter-we-all-do-stupid-things-at-17

"Maybe I wouldn't have put myself in that situation, who knows. But we all do stupid things at 17.”

Donald Trump Jr. defended 17-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse as a “young kid” and said his family was “not jumping to a conclusion” about Rittenhouse’s alleged killing of two people at a recent protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

“We're waiting for due process. We're not jumping to a conclusion,” the businessman and eldest son of President Donald Trump told Extra Tuesday. “If I put myself in Kyle Rittenhouse('s shoes), maybe I shouldn't have been there. He's a young kid. I don't want young kids running around the streets with AR-15s. Maybe I wouldn't have put myself in that situation, who knows. But we all do stupid things at 17.”

After host Rachel Lindsay countered that Rittenhouse’s actions were “a little beyond stupid," Trump Jr. said it was “Really stupid. Fine. But we all have to let due process play out and let due process take its course.”

Trump Jr., who was promoting a new book called “Liberal Privilege,” the follow-up to 2019’s “Triggered,” called Black Lives Matter a “great catchphrase” but denied that anyone believes that Black lives don’t matter. “The phrase ‘Black Lives Matter’ is obvious, no one says anything else,” he told Lindsay.

Fox News finally posted a Woodward story - it's Kellyanne's excuses

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/mcenany-trump-woodward-coronavirus

Pressed on his reported coronavirus comments during an afternoon event in the Diplomatic Room of the White House, the president said: "You cannot show a sense of panic."

It follows an earlier defense of Trump from White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany, who said Wednesday: “When you are facing insurmountable challenges, it is important to express confidence, it is important to express calm.”

“He makes clear that he doesn’t want to see chaos, by the way, which is the second part of the quote which you failed to read,” she continued, addressing a reporter who had read part of the quote. typical condescending (from the gutter) grandstanding BS

The president just days after having this discussion with Bob Woodward, said this from this podium, on March 30, he said, ‘I do want them to stay calm, we are doing a great job, if you look at the individual statements they are all true, stay calm, it will go away but it's important to stay calm,’” the press secretary said. “So this president does what leaders do -- good leaders -- it’s stay calm and resolute at a time when you face an insurmountable challenge.”

Funny thing happened going to work today

That alarm went off really early this morning. I’d really slept in over the weekend. So I get to work and find out that the phones and internet have been out all weekend. Cool. I stop unpacking and pack to go home. One more day teleworking- my daughter’s first day of virtual school.

As I’m leaving I see this person walking around. She has on an ID but I don’t recognize her. Turns out she’s from one of our satellite offices. I ask if I can help. She has her car key fob in her hand. She trying to find their car that left here WHEN THE SHUTDOWN STARTED IN MARCH. St. Patrick’s Day to be exact. I felt like it was something out of a time warp. This car was left (her office is about 2 hours away) all this time? Almost 6 full months?

She said she thought the battery might have died. I directed her to where most of the fleet cars are parked and where to find security who can find maintenance.

I guess someone from that office was here and left it getting a ride back to their office or someone got the car as a loaner. I didn’t stick around to ask too many questions- I had to get home for one more day working from the recliner.

Gender-reveal pyrotechnic sparked massive El Dorado fire

A smoke generating pyrotechnic device used at a gender-reveal party ignited one of the 23 major fires burning in California, fire officials announced on Sunday evening.

The El Dorado Fire, currently burning near Oak Glen in San Bernardino County, has forced the evacuations of 3,000 residents, according to CBS LA. It has already scorched more than 7,000 acres and is only five percent contained.

"CAL FIRE reminds the public that with the dry conditions and critical fire weather, it doesn't take much to start a wildfire," a Cal Fire San Bernardino Unit statement said. "Those responsible for starting fires due to negligence or illegal activity can be held financially and criminally responsible."
