The Danger of a Small Act of Cowardice in the Age of Trump; Interview w/David Hume Kennerly (part 2) - Glenn Kirschner

At the age of 24, David Hume Kennerly won the Pulitzer Prize for photos he took as a combat photographer in Vietnam during the Vietnam war AND for photos he took at the legendary 1971 Ali vs. Frasier fight at Madison Square Garden. At age 27, he was asked by President Gerald Ford to be the White House Photographer.

Mr. Kennerly has photographed every American president from LBJ through Biden. And now, at age 77, he's made an important statement about the courage that is necessary in 2024 to meet the urgency of this moment in America's history, when our democracy is under attack from within.

His recent article in the Atlantic, titled "The Danger of a Small Act of Cowardice", explains the stand he decided to take by resigning from the board of trustees of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Foundation, as we discuss in episode 2 of our two-part conversation.

I am thrilled to present part 2 of this 2-part, in-depth conversation with Mr. Kennerly. - Glenn Kirschner - 05/26/2024.

give a largely meaningless award to because fear and cowardice is what we've all come to expect from such people.

I don't expect Cheney or Kinzinger to be recognized for their bravery until TFG gets his first criminal conviction. Once that happens and he's neutralized as any sort of political mover and shaker, the floodgates will likely open.

It will be a bit too late, of course, to remove all those yellow streaks up the backs of their fellow Republicans.
