Will Supreme Court buy Trump's absurd/dangerous claim that he's absolutely immune from prosecution - Glenn Kirschner

Donald Trump is indicted on 88 felony counts across four jurisdictions for crimes he committee, many of them while he was serving as president.

Trump's lawyer, John Sauer, just argued before the United States Supreme Court that Trump should not be prosecuted for his crimes. Specifically, Sauer said that the following acts are official presidential acts that would be covered by presidential immunity: ordering the assassination of a political rival; order the military to stage a coup to keep the president in power after he lost an election; and selling our nation's nuclear secrets to a foreign adversary.

But what was even worse than those deeply anti-democratic, anti-rule-of-law, and anti-constitutional arguments? Some of the Supreme Court Justices seemed to be seriously entertaining those arguments. None more that Justice Samuel Alito, as this video discusses. - Glenn Kirschner - 04/27/2024.

It is not about Trump, it is about the future of our democracy.
Alito advocating that no matter what crimes a president commits, he is immune.
Really shocking.

But it's especially tough for those like Glenn who knows the law and follows both the trials and SCOTUS and sees what they've become.

Everything they have been taught, and practiced is going down the drain.
