Behind Trump is a whole cadre of oligarchs, power brokers, wanna-bees, sycophants, and others who hide their loathing while fostering plans to use him. Many of them are really smart. Lots smarter than him. They’ve figured out how to influence him. Some can probably control him.

I think that Trumps VP pick will tell us a lot. If he picks someone who doesn’t overshadow him we can suppose he’s in charge. If the pick is someone more capable, someone like Greg Abbot, we’ll know that others are. If it’s someone like Abbot, we’ll know that they are evil indeed. And circumstances are more dire than we already suspect.
