(12,879 posts)They took too long to charge him & he's used to filing endless appeals or other delay tactics. It'll be going on well after the election. And if he LOSES he'll be appealing as long as possible.
Even after he's convicted he's still not going to be going to jail. He gets secret service protection & the govt isnt going to jail THEM. The best we can hope for, IMO, is housing on a military base & no internet access

(209,359 posts)That really is the only decision that makes sense unless they want to look partisan. But it looks like they don't care and this is one more decision that could undermine the rule of law. What TFG claims, that a president is immune from prosecution no matter what he does, like attempting to overthrow the government, is ridiculous. Third world countries have jailed leaders who attempted the same.
