... like that CPAC speaker are fond of saying, "The United States is NOT a democracy, it is a republic!"
Rome was a republic in which only the elite could vote. America is a democratic republic in which all citizens may vote, but the elite still hold all the aces.
We cannot allow Feudalism v.2 –which is the corporatist's Holy Grail – to ever come to fruition. It's already WAY too close to that as it is.
