Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumI now support Elizabeth Warren
The constitutional rule of law is critically important. Senator Warren understands that political expedience can not be the priority at this time.
IMPEACH NOW!

(7,547 posts)Basically all the current candidates are to the right of me ideologically, so take my comments with a grain of salt where you will.
I'm impressed by Warren's refusal to use 'political' answers on tough issues. I'm impressed with her wonkish knowledge of economic policy. Her bio or backstory is pure campaign gold...rural borderline poverty to school-teacher to Senator. But most of all I'm impressed with her willingness to draw a line in the sand and fight toe to toe with the monkey-wrench gang that has descended upon DC.
Just to be clear I consider Ms. Warren to be a moderate policy wise. We need another FDR, but in the times to come I'd settle for a John Adams or a Daniel Webster that can fix the Devil's wagon.
To me the most important part of our entire government is the Constitution. The Founding Fathers were pretty specific on the People not being made to suffer assholes in the Office of the President.

(58,785 posts)see her quite the same way some here do. I like her because she's a fighter for her goals who has the good sense to harness the enormous power of the "establishment" for big advances -- as FDR's mainstream team did. She's their kind, determined to forge ahead with strong progressive policies that respond to the needs of a broad range of Americans in ways they can accept.

(9,055 posts)or, perhaps I should say, there better be other Dem candidates that back Warren and her call for the House to begin impeachment proceedings.
They just cannot let Trump get off scot-free. At the absolute minimum, Trump deserves censure, but that is just the proverbial slap on the wrist.
