Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumSo black South Carolinians went overwhelmingly for Joe.
And Bernie says he is fighting the corporate wing of the Democratic Party.
Are black persons the corporate wing of the party? Not something I believe.
I believe they ARE the base of the party.
But his narrative and framing allows for all sorts of attacks on our coalition and I am fucking sick of it.

(45,615 posts)so maybe the West Coast hip hop crowd is a little bit different from the more church going South Carolina crowd.
Bernie's black supporters are younger, more urban, and more radical. Biden's are older, more rural/suburban, and more moderate.

(45,615 posts)They shot video on their phones and shared it to social media. Public Enemy fired Flava Flav over it. I'll give Bernie credit for having very passionate and excited supporters.
It does seem generational. At this point, I'm a bit wary of large crowds.

And if he isn't aware of that subtle, and I hope unintentional, messaging, he doesn't need to be a politician at all.

I have not seen a landline at any place but a few businesses.
