This media narrative about Bernie not "taking Bloomberg's money" is the dumbest shit ...

Bloomberg can only donate $2800 to Bernie. Are people really freaking out about $2800?

Bernie cannot tell any super PAC what to do. He can't "refuse to take their money" because SUPER PACS DON'T GIVE MONEY TO CANDIDATES.

Here's the REAL STORY

Sanders cannot control or dictate what independent groups do on his behalf since campaign finance law prohibits candidates from coordinating strategy with outside groups. But Bloomberg’s team has said the mogul would not spend on behalf of a candidate who rejected his help.

“Bernie said he didn’t want (Bloomberg’s) money, so we’re not going to. I don’t think it would be prudent to spend on behalf of somebody who didn’t want it,” Howard Wolfson, a senior adviser to Bloomberg, told NBC News after the debate.

So much for Bloomberg's goal of helping to defeat Trump.

4. "we all know Bloomberg would rather have Trump than Bernie"

We do? It seems that Bloomberg's life's mission at the moment is to get rid of Trump. I doubt that even Sanders being the nominee is going to change that. For BB, it's clearly personal where Trump is concerned.

6. They called Sanders' bluff.

Sanders wanted it both ways: look principled by turning down a direct donation while playing the “I’m not involved with that, they do what they want” card had Mike given $ to a PAC promoting Sanders.

Rather than getting millions in help from a guy who can easily afford it, Sanders will need to continue to hit up his followers whose every donation to Sanders is a financial hardship.

8. Bloomberg doesnt give away money. He invests

When Bloomberg gives someone money, there is an unspoken understanding that Bloomberg expects something back.

IF Sanders agreed in any form to be open to Bloomberg giving money, it would open him up to all sorts of attacks. It would let Bloomberg say he has leverage over Sanders.

They tried to set a trap and Sanders was like "Yeah, I don't think so. Obvious trap is obvious"

11. I think it's posturing. What's "prudent" for Bloomberg is to get what HE wants.

What Bernie wants is irrelevant.

If Bloomberg wants Trump out, and wants to spend his money to do it, he will do it, whether anyone else wants him to or not. This isn't about doing Bernis any favors. This is about Bloomberg doing what he thinks is best.

So I think the only way he doesn't help defeat Trump is if he honestly prefers Trump to the Dem nominee. The nominee's wishes don't play into it.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
