I was very upset when they screwed Steyer out of his spot on the Nevada debate stage. I felt it was very unfair. The DNC did to him for real what Bernie pretends they did to him in 2016.

Generally those firms work by comittee, even if one person leads it, that person can be outvoted on investment decisions.

To his credit, he set up a venture fund based in Silicon Valley that is funding cutting edge clean energy research and development. Bloomberg has also been very active in that area, so the two billionaires are the only people up on stage who have done more than just talk about fighting climate change.

At least not on the captive insurance industry in Vermont—the largest (onshore) offshore tax haven outside of the Cayman Islands. When the IRS tried to reign in their practices, Bernie helped to stop it. It’s the biggest industry in Vermont and a huge giveaway to corporations across the country.
