(47,822 posts)He might be a good at getting under Trump's skin, but we can do a lot better. The more I read about him, the less I like him for a presidential nominee.

(5,147 posts)His track record as mayor leaves a lot to be desired if you are truly a democrat. I'm not even talking about Stop and Frisk and crack down on protesters
Homelessness and poverty increased under his watch as a direct result of his policies
He now supports $15 minimum wage - made that change as he announced his run for prez. But when he was mayor, he vetoed a bill to increase the minimum wage and for sick leave.
He raised taxes which affected the working and middle class but at then later said said increasing taxes on the rich was dumb
If he wasn't attacking Trump, folks would not buy what he's selling.
primary today, I would vote for: Undecided

(47,822 posts)I'm learning new things about him every day and just now you mentioned something else I didn't know.
He may be a good opponent for Donald Trump, but I don't think he is good for the party.

(10,014 posts)He's one of the hateful boys that destroyed what little credibility Salon had in 2016. Now, he writes for what, The Intercept, maybe? Listen to him at your peril because you'll regret it.
Some of his gems in Salon:
A liberal case for Donald Trump: The lesser of two evils is not at all clear in 2016
The big "Hillary realism" lie: Clinton supporters present a false choice -- and misread our political moment
Fine, give the GOP four years: The liberal case for either Bernie Sanders, or electing a Republican president
Hillary Clinton is just Republican lite: Sorry, boomers, but this millennial is still only voting Bernie Sanders
More like Reagan than FDR: I'm a millennial and I'll never vote for Hillary Clinton
