Nevada Unions When Your Strike Fails And You Lose Your Healthcare Don't Beg Bernie To Help You

Even though he will work his ass off to make sure every one of you and your neighbors will have better, cheaper, and non corporate controlled rape care like you all have now.

One day what will happen to you is what has happened to ALMOST ALL UNIONS.

Medicare for all, for half price per capita.

My wife's prescription is 10 times as expensive as it is overseas.

My mother in law's treatment is 10 times as much money here (billing Medicaid) as it is overseas for exactly the same treatment.

Is Bernie the only one smart enough to realize how badly we are being robbed, while we die.

87 million uninsured, or under insured.

Yes Nevada Unions you have health care. For now.

Try keeping it.....

In the last election/primary the SEIU spent a year going around the country supporting actions for a $15 dollar minimum wage. Bernie also supported this wage. Hillary was more in line with working toward that figure maybe $12.50 minimum wage.
The union came out in support of Hillary. Say what? Union management does not always walk like they talk.

Let's just fix the problem.

No, not the billionaires don't have enough wealth problem, but the fact that almost every American will go bankrupt if they get sick problem. Maybe it is time to wise up? Maybe paying twice as much for crappier care than the rest of the advanced world while we all are being robbed blind.

We pay more in co-pays than other nations pay for better care with ZERO CO-PAYS.

Feb 2020

My diabetes has been progressively getting worse for years (I have really bad numbers and cannot get on top of them without essentially resorting to extreme dietary restrictions that I find impossible to maintain long term), one of the treatments that was actually helping my A1C and Glucose levels was coupling a long-release insulin (Tresiba) with Bolus fast-acting insulin (Humalog) taken at meals.

I was denied coverage for Tresiba three times, including two denied appeals from my doctor (a board certified expert in endocrinology), and told that the Tresiba is a plan exclusion and also unnecessary treatment. They over-ruled my doctor and ignored my actual results because the do not have a deal with the manufacturer of Tresiba to offer the coverage that would help me...to remain on the treatment would run me nearly $1,200 every 3 months and would be 100% uncovered. It may also void some other plan provisions written into the fine print that could lead to denial of coverage for covered medications when using non-covered exclusions...so if I choose to stay on the Tresiba, they retain the right to then drop my other covered options.

I am about to be placed on an insulin pump in the next few days in a last ditch effort to control my diabetes and allow me to basically survive beyond the next 5 years. Even with insurance, this is an unbudgeted $2,500 out of pocket hit that is going to be due in the next 60 days - or I have offered a payment plan option that elevates the total cost above $3,500 to me, but spreads it our over 3 years of monthly payments...which does NOT include the out of pocket cost of the supplies and insulin until I reach $5,000 annual out of pocket costs...

If I hear ANYONE else talk about how fucking great corporate or union provided insurance is, I am going to lose my fucking mind.

INSURANCE of ANY KIND that is FOR PROFIT does not care about YOU...in fact, it WANTS you DEAD as soon as possible to save those precious $$$$'s. They DO NOT MAKE MONEY providing care...that is a DEBIT on their expense sheet....you are not assets to them, you are a liability to be removed ASAP. A comprehensive solution, regardless of the route to get there, MUST be the goal. My rage and depression continues to grow daily in this failing shithole country of ours and I fear what I may be motivated to do if I become terminal...this is no way to live, its more like a nightmare than a dream...

Unions are getting weaker by the day.

Counting on a union to provide anything can be suicidal.

I hope they all have great lives and great retirements in Nevada.

Every single union is being eaten alive unfortunately.

They used to strike for better terms. Now they strike to keep from losing too much each session.

EVERY SINGLE UNION IS GETTING WEAKER.

Welcome to a corporate ran country.

Next recession their healthcare will be on the chopping block to "save their jobs".

I went to Vegas during the recession. They forget so quickly? Foreclosure capital of the planet.

Their "good" healthcare will be stripped away. It's only a matter of time.

Just ask GM employees how their health care is compared to 20, 30, or 40 years ago.

I have af fantastic healthcare at 66. I have Medicare and my employer provided insurance pays 100% of what Medicare doesn’t. When Medicare won’t pay, my employer provided insurance pays 100%. My employer paid about $500 monthly premium for 34 years for me. $204,000 I lost in theoretic wages, before interest. I love what I have now and I don’t want to lose it, nor is my employer (or Bernie) going to pay me back for those lost wages. There is no way m4All is going to be as good, nor will it be for free.

Then when M4all is instituted, insurance companies will still be lurking. Can’t outlaw insurance companies in a capitalist nation. We will end up with public mediocre care and private hospitals with better doctors who want more money than a public option pays. People like me will now have to go buy insurance, on my own, to supplement the public option, to get the healthcare equivalent to the healthcare I get now. Look at what has happened in NZ and Australia. Healthcare for the haves and have nots. We really do not have that now as they do down under. This is why union workers, government employees and people who work or worked for large corporations do not want M4all.

Also, I stayed in this job for this insurance.

Offer a public option. If it is so much better than what the private market offers, the private market will die, but to force people into a plan they don’t want is insane.

This is why M4All will be a big loser in November. Guaranteed.

After 30 years of working at GM i retired. One of the benefits was GM provided health insurance along with a nice pension. Lo and behold insurance was going up at a speedy rate. Gm stopped paying for my health insurance they gave me an extra $300 in my pension per month. That was for me and my wife. It covered my insurance for about 2 years. My wife died about 4 years ago, I am now paying about $400 a month for insurance coverage for just me.

I, like you have great healthcare for now. I am luck. Millions of others are not so lucky. And you have no idea how badly my wife is treated at work, and discriminated against. Is is sickening. Her new job at same institution seems a lot better now. Thank God.

Imagine if the same insurance was available to EVERYONE for an affordable price. Maybe by taxes paid on the things that make us sick like crap food, sugar, and pollution. Pre-pay for all our care by the garbage that makes millions sick is my idea.

We can get there.

The billionaire owned brainwashing media will make sure no one ever understands what is really going on as far as the thousands of people dying each year from inadequate care.

When we were fighting over Obamacare, did anyone go interview the people who lost loved ones because they couldn't afford treatment, or medicine? Hell now. And still the insurance companies got paid first before anyone got treated.

We are being raped, and no one seems to admit it.

Sad....

Notice the “good for you” comment. I am single, retired and live on a pension. I have nothing left to give up, financially, believe me, and the one thing that works for me is my healthcare that I worked 34 years to have in my retirement.

The point is not “me” though. The point is the millions of “me’s” who will not vote their healthcare away for something that is only an idea, and imho, only a back of the envelope idea that seems unworkable without tax increases. Personally, I’ve seen the pitfalls of an exclusively public option down under.

We will get Trump if the Dem candidate is set on M4all, even if we really know it will never pass in Congress. Most voters don’t know that. There are too many like me and Trump will win.

It's not what you do, it's who you wake up.

It's up to us, not Bernie, Amy, or Pete, or even Joe.

Without "the people" nothing gets done.

"After his election in 1932, FDR met with Sidney Hillman and other labor leaders, many of them active Socialists with whom he had worked over the past decade or more. Hillman and his allies arrived with plans they wanted the new President to implement. Roosevelt told them: "I agree with you, I want to do it, now make me do it."

It wasn't up to FDR. It was up to us.

Bernie has the balls to take on the media owners, and corporate gods. The folks who decide how much money I will end up with when they get done robbing me, and poisoning my family while my land burns for their oil stock profits.

Bernie says we need a revolution, not just a socialist Jew with no power.

We need one hell of a revolution.

I guess many don't want to rock the boat while it is going down, and burning at the same time.

When the permafrost melts in the Arctic it is game over for growing food on the Earth.
