If Bernie wins the GE in a landslide, will that effect your opinion of him?

Of course this is assuming he wins the nomination in the first place. But I'm testing the idea that a lot of people here dont like him because they are sure he will lose.

I've had dinner with him and Jane. They're personally very nice. But I don't see anything in his political approach that's going to let him win, or accomplish much if he does.

I believe Bernie Sanders is a great man.

I loved his book Our Revolution, and bought it the day it came out.

I actually voted for him in the primary last year (Despite also liking HRC very much).

My big concern is that he won't win. I truly believe that in my heart of hearts.

If he gets the nomination, I will fight to put him in the White House like my life depends on it, but I just don't think it's a fight where I will ultimately succeed. If he gets the nomination, and I'm WRONG about that. Hallelujah! Seriously.

I don't think he can be an effective president because he is a rigid ideologue who doesn't work well with others and who has done nothing to inspire the loyalty and support of the Democrats in Congress whose balls he's been breaking for the past four years. He hasn't even been an effective legislator; all he's managed to do in all his time in Congress is get a couple of post offices named. Will he even still be a Democrat once the election is over?

I will be mildly disappointed in the Democratic party, that someone from outside the party, albeit an ally, is chosen to represent us for President. If he goes on to defeat Trump I will be ecstatic.

Unfortunately I would be concerned that sour grapes will overwhelm "blue no matter who". (To be honest I have that concern regardless who gets the nomination. There is a lot of animosity in the various camps and if there is one thing Trump excels at is in dividing people.)

I don't necessarily disagree with everything he claims he would do (but most likely cannot) but his personality affects me in the same way trump's does. I hate Bernie's yelling, finger-pointing, bashing of Democrats, and inflexibility. I believe he is as destructive to the Democratic Party as trump is to the GOP.

There was a time in my life when Bernie might have seemed a more attractive candidate but after these last three and a half years of chaos, I think this country needs a stabilizer, not a revolution.

nor would it Effect a change in my opinion of him.

As my opinion of him already exists, I believe most English teachers would say that it could not "effect" my opinion (cause it to come into being, because it already is).

If he gets elected, and actually signs off on/passes bills.. even the impure ones.. that's hard fought for and passed by the Democratic Party members in Congress.. my opinion of his fitness to be our party's representative for the office will change.

I don't think he'll win the primary, but he may.

I really don't think he'd win the GE if he does win our primary, but I didn't think Trump would win in 2016 either, so I'm not exactly a grand seer about such things.

Even if he does become our candidate, and does win the Presidency, I think he'd be an abysmal failure getting nothing at all done because the things he wants.. there is NO potential version of congress that would pass it anywhere close to the level he's promised.. so he'll either royally disappoint his base by compromising like a good president, or he'll be a horrendous failure that will deliver a Republican wave of victories that will make the 2016 results look tepid in comparison.
