Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumGetting 1 delegate tonight qualifies you for the Debate!
The DNC rules for the next debate says that anyone getting 1 delegate in either Iowa or New Hampshire would qualify for the Feb. Debate.
Will Bloomberg or Yang get that lucky one magic delegate? Will Klobuchar?

(94,553 posts)The question is whether any voters want to support Bloomberg and form a separate preference group at the Caucus sites.

(94,553 posts)There won't be any actual delegates awarded until April (the Congressional District Caucuses). The only data out of tonight will be State Delegate Equivalents. Estimates of Convention Delegates may take awhile.

(2,706 posts)15% state wide or by district?
What if Yang has 15% in a district, (and would gain a district delegate) but he only has 5% statewide.

(2,706 posts)Get them as long as you were 15% in a district, even if you were 3% state wide?
If so, then wouldnt most candidates get at least one delegate?

(5,376 posts)But theoretically it's possible. You have to convince enough people in a district that giving your candidate even a few delegates would serve a real purpose.
That's why I think Amy Klobuchar will definitely garner some districtwide delegates.
