A “moderate” or conservative dem is Doug Jones or Manchin.

In fairness, our government has no problem printing money when it comes to war/etc.

option and a reformed ACA will get us to universal. I like Amy's idea...make it a non-profit public option...

You know, my first inclination was "Hell no!" But then I reconsidered. As long as we're not talking about the golden parachute executive class, it might not be a bad idea. First, the execs WILL depart with many millions, so why should regular workers carry the burden of their plunder and get nothing? Second, I don't know, but I'm guessing we are not talking about a huge number of former employees, many of whom are quickly re-employable, especially if they have a financial cushion to keep them afloat until they've either found new employment directly or are in training programs to enter other careers. I'm happy to have my taxes support a program like that.
