Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumJust paid one of my periodic visits to JPR...
Apparently Warren is a capitalist Wall Street sellout, and Sanders has to make Gabbard his VP choice.

(31,261 posts)He would pull in the most honored aspects of our party into his DU name. Then try to avoid having us figure him out. Honestly, he was all negative on democrats all the time, I just don't see him avoiding detection for long.

(43,641 posts)HATE Buttigieg, and seem so bitter on life. It did not interest me at all. If I want to talk to actual socialists (as many do openly admit to being at that site, for which I at least give them credit for honesty), I have plenty of those in my real life (mostly non-US), and they are not all twisted up like those people on that Jackpine site.
Bottom line for me is that if people really are actual socialists, then they will always be out of power here in the US, a member of a tiny fraction (unless you count a very small number of very scattered local levels). IF socialist politics at a national level is truly their number one driver in life, then perhaps they should look into moving elsewhere, to a proportional representative country where they can actually get elected or be represented by an elected party in a parliament. Either that or just accept that their entire political life is going to be spent on the micro-fringes here, and that pretty much all their grand plans are never going to be actualised. Is that harsh? I do not think so, I think it is reality. I guess some live in hope for a dissolution of the American union in the coming decades and then some breakaway part does indeed go to a proportional representative form of democratic government. I hope they are as young as me, because they are going to waiting a long time for that to even become a possibility. I also shudder to think of the destructive forces that would need to be unleashed for such a rendering to actually occur.

Manny and his crew spent gobs of time on DU ripping President Obama and prominent democrats. They couched their attacks by calling forth the most novel principles of our party to cover themselves.

(2,539 posts)just before they went under new management. Fortunately for those who would like to take a peek at some of the most vile anti Democratic posts you will ever encounter on the internet, or familiarize yourself with the past posts of PPRed (Posting Privileges Revoked) and FFRed (Flagged For Review) past DUers who fled to JPR rather than voting for Clinton in the last election. Knowing the writing styles of past banned DU members really helps to spot returning trolls. The Wayback Machine has hundreds of archived pages from when JPR was created until just recently. Too bad for some that nothing really disappears on the internet.
But wear hip boots and a gas mask. It's pretty bad stuff.
Here's the link to the Wayback Machine. Just put in www.____________________. Sorry...won't post JPRs URL here. Follow the links and happy (or unhappy ) hunting as the case may be.
https://archive.org/
They also have a huge archive of past DU posts going back many many years.
P.S. : I will soon be posting a link to an online author analyzing program that will help identify if a new or suspicious poster's post is the same as a previously banned poster, using just writing samples.

(43,049 posts)a rare form of diarrhea.
I'm better now, but I can't wash my eyes of a former long-time poster here (who I thought was reasonably intelligent) with a Marxist rant that was 100% backwards.
Many Marxist rants have some grain of truth to them, or at least a rational background if you accept some of the facts. This one, however, started from complete nonsense and went downhill from there. I'm not sure that even Marx would have agreed with it.
