Re Biden saying Trump's worse than we expected: HRC, Sept. 2017: He's "even worse than I thought he

would be."

I wanted to post this because some of the people slamming Biden for saying Trump has turned out to be worse than we expected have been citing Hillary Clinton, who warned us against Trump, as proof that people knew that Trump would be this bad (and in some cases those Biden critics are slamming him for being naive or blind).

From The Hill, 9/23/17:

So, I merely hoped, when Trump was elected, that things wouldn't get too much worse.

Hillary said that in 2017.. trump has gotten exponentially worse since then.

There was no "blissfully" about it.

We knew trump was extremely bad but as highplainsdem pointed out..

or "just when you think Trump can't go any lower" -- not to mention all the "WTF???!!!" posts -- as new outrages come to light.

by bringing up white people who think like you and have no direct experience or care to know anything of the New Jim Crow to the rise of BLM to polls taken of AAs before the election to the ridiculous post-racial society.

And even teachers in so many articles after his election saying just this "I knew as we sat down for our morning meeting today that more than anything I needed to create a space for them to process Donald Trump’s election. I knew that it was important for me to step back, listen, and provide comfort and assurance as much as possible."

Thank goodness I bookmarked this article showing Even Our Children Knew.

All that being said, I don’t know why or how anyone could attack Biden for his opinion.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with what he said. Seems to me some are just twisting it to fit whatever agenda they might have.

Pointless, not to mention self defeating, to attack a good Democrat over a simple statement.

I mean, we have a dirt-bag in the White House who committed obstruction of justice on at least one occasion and witness tampering on at least one occasion. He is a traitor, pathological liar, eminently unfit for office and to my mind guilty of massive crimes against humanity with these concentration camps.

This 'controversy' seems a minor splitting of a very minor hair. I think Biden should just ignore it because it is completely outside the pale of relevance. I know the media and some r/w trolls, and even, unfortunately, surrogates for our candidates might TRY and make it a big deal, but it isn't.

Bottom line - it doesn't change my generally OK opinion of Biden at all. He's not my number one candidate, but you know what? If he is our nominee I will be fighting for him to win the election tooth and nail. And I will vote - straight blue, right down the ticket. Republicans do not deserve to stay in power at all - not since they've sold their collective soul to Trump.

Trump is a monster.

Biden would be fine.

Even Republicans knew Trump was bad and called him every name in the book during the primaries. (And then they nominated him to be president.)

Congress and republicans are worse than I could have imagined in their complicity.
They have the power to put him in check and they refuse. His cruelty and dishonesty thrive only because they let it.
There is no good reason to trust them to climb out of the mud they crawled into with him.
