Our first and most important DUTY is to vote to get Trump out of office.

My favorite candidate is Elizabeth Warren. HOWEVER, if it means that we can only win with candidate Joe Biden or even Bernie Sanders I am all in for them. EW has plans which I like. She can still have those plans once Trump is out of office. If Trump remains in office, no amount of plans will help anyone. We must get together behind one viable candidate who does not scare the pants off folks at the top or in the middle. If we can show our power by tossing out Trump, we can hold any of our choice Senators and Representatives' feet to the fire to work on and pass our progressive agenda. But it all has to wait until we prove our strength worthy of the sacrifice. The "squad" and all other factions must hold fast to their beliefs while working toward the greater good.

It would be ok with me if our candidates would go behind closed doors choose the best policies from among all, put forth a green deal that speaks of the creation of good paying jobs that will cover a range of skill levels, put forth a tax plan that gives back resources to our most needed social safety network, puts on the table a foreign policy that makes tough, unpopular positions but one that unites our friends and invites our enemies to the table of nations to present their ideas for peace and prosperity for all nations.

To me, the center is where the spokes of the wheel connect but spread out to form a functional wheel to be used to move forward. We can do this, if we are willing to adopt a short-range tactic to further our long-range strategy.

The best candidate to win, may not be our favorite candidate but we MUST go for the win!!

I especially like this statement, as truer words have never been spoken:

"To me, the center is where the spokes of the wheel connect but spread out to form a functional wheel to be used to move forward."

That sentence takes a stand that together we can do better! Thank you!

There are liberals and conservative, and what the corporate media talks about. It is not a middle. It is more a 1980s RepubliCON attitude.

Most Americans support liberal policies. They are for a fair economic system that rewards the good and discourages the bad. They are for taking care of their neighbors.

The problem is no one really talks about how our votes have been manipulated. They mostly spit out what our capitalist kings tell them to.

.. be more moderate to win in their states. Doug Jones and Joe Manchin have to make hard choices in order to win in their states. It’s not perfect, but it can work if we realize every candidate cannot be as “progressive” as we might prefer.

If people don't understand the life-or-death consequences of this election, then I doubt I can be of much help to them.

I believe that Warren is actually our most electable candidate and Biden would be a mistake. My reasons are best left to another thread. No deal in a smoke filled room is going to change my mind, so if Warren is not chosen I'll be disappointed, and I think a lot of Warren supporters would think she sold out. Supporters of other candidates probably feel the same about their own choices. So I'd rather just let the process play out and unite behind the people's choice. It's messy and I don't like it, but it beats all the alternatives.
