Elizabeth Warren Scaring The Bejesus Out Of Trump Campaign Now
Trump aides and their allies at the Republican National Committee, who initially believed their money and manpower were better focused elsewhere, are digging up opposition research, deploying camera-wielding trackers, and preparing to brand Warren as a liberal extremist. The reassessment of Warren, confirmed in conversations with more than a half-dozen Trump advisers, reflects the volatility of the massive Democratic primary and how the reelection campaign is reacting to it.
Of course, Warren has already transcended the biggest thing they had on her, so it's not clear what they think following her around with a camera is going to do to help them. What are they gonna dig up? That she wants even MORE awesome things for America?
The Trump camp is quite scared that Warren may kick his ass when it comes to winning over working class voters, probably because her policies would actually help them.
Campaign pollster John McLaughlin has sounded the alarm internally, stressing that Warren's attacks on Trump threaten to undercut his support from the working-class voters who propelled him to the presidency.
"Although our own early published polls and internal polls discounted Elizabeth Warren, her recent momentum in May and June in national and early caucus and primary states into a strong second place to a flat Joe Biden is a cause for our campaign's attention," McLaughlin wrote in a text message to POLITICO.
"Sen. Warren's attacks on President Trump's policies need to be rebutted," McLaughlin added. "We can't just allow her to continue to attack the President in key states like Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada and elsewhere."

That's a pretty good place to be!
It's also pretty darn good that her policies and her energy are so THERE – and even her humor is welcome (the endearing exasperated kind where she's like: "Wake up America, we have a country to fix! This isn't extreme, it's practical, and let's go!"
Sorry, but there's nothing "inevitable" about Biden. Being white male is no longer considered a "skill set." Having kick-ass policies are what counts now. Doesn't matter what flavor ice cream you eat.

It indicates she knows she's onto something. And she knows it deeply. She is psyched by thinking through how things work – economically, sociologically, etc. Then she shares her enthusiasm with the public. There are enough bright opinion leaders who are looking at her policies, deem them reasonable, and then THEY share their enthusiasm with the public. It's a cascade effect. It's pretty much how things work in the spreading of ideas, memes, etc.
Early information theorists believed there was simply a one-to-many transfer of ideas. Now we know there's a one-to-a-few-to-a-few-more-to-many. Since the advent of radio and television there's an added layer of one-to-many. But you need both layers to catalyze a thriving political shift. Trump only has the one-to-his-base. Warren has the opinion leaders AND a growing sea of well-wishers.
And her being female adds an element of pop culture novelty and excitement — not to mention the "justice effect." When you KNOW women have been treated like 2nd class citizens for way too long (and not everybody gets this, but enough do), then there's added excitement that RELIEF is coming.
Andrew Yang and Buttigieg have similar dynamics working on their behalf, but Warren has the name recognition. She's also got that damn Harvard crowd secretely routing for her. Harvard's way over-rated but if it helps to get Elizabeth into the Whitehouse I'm down with that.
