Yea... Biden Voted for the Hyde Amendment....

Does not allow women to use medicaid for abortions..which pisses me off no end. And I think there are better choices out there for Pres..Harris and Warren for instance..... Our Country is reaching a boiling point for complete destruction..So I'm at the point where there is only one thing that I care about..Trump must be thrown out of his Presidency by any means.....The Hyde thing is awful but as bad as it sounds.. (Biden voted for it)....But by gaining control of the House, Senate and Presidency we can fix it.. As bad as it sounds, Biden can pull a lot of votes from Trump on this issue..Especially in Penn.

People at this point I don't wanna fuck around with Trump...I wanna him out!!! he's becoming more frightening each day.. Wether it's dementia or something else I don't care...He's tearing our country apart and everyday it's getting worse.. To the point where we might lose it..

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

unacceptable to me in a candidate. I take the position of Planned Parenthood:

“To support the Hyde Amendment is to block people — particularly women of color and women with low incomes — from accessing safe, legal abortion," Planned Parenthood said in a tweeted statement. "As abortion access is being restricted and pushed out of reach in states around the country, it is unacceptable for a candidate to support policies that further restrict abortion.”

I don't care what he did in the past, people change, I want to know where he stands now, and it is pretty clear he supports the Hyde Amendment now.

I hate to say this, because I was a supporter of Biden right out of the gate, but his continued support of the Hyde Amendment tells me he is out of touch with issues affecting women, especially poor women.

In the next few days maybe we will see if more information is provided, but as of now my political preference has been changed from Biden to Undecided.

I am looking forward to the debates.

I personally cannot see how any Democratic candidate running for President can support this amendment. I don't care what happened under President Obama, or before, with women's rights under attack, there is no excuse why someone would support this piece of garbage

I’m not saying Biden is the antidote for that but regardless of who it is, what issue it is, there will be a helluva lot more at stake than abortion rights if he gets another 4 years. We all need to be clear eyed on that.

Conversely, if Biden wants to be the nominee he needs to clearly explain his positions and be willing to read the room. I haven’t seen any polling on the Hyde amendment but it’s fair to say even some of his supporters here don’t like his position on that particular piece of legislation.

What we need is to adopt the "Reagan rule"... speak nothing negative about a fellow Democrat.

the the trumpanzees are gleefully rubbing their hands over the comments by Sanders, Warren, etc over Biden's past positions. I haven't heard Joe fire back... and I don't want him too.

Let's have every Democrat put forth their arguments on why they want to be President, what they will do AS President, and how they plan to beat Trump and get other Democrats elected to the Senate and the House... and everyone vote... and at the end of the primaries we all come together and vote out this narcissistic piece of human garbage.

29. Biden supports what Obama supported by executive order.
Wed Jun 5, 2019, 06:26 PM
Jun 2019
Barack Obama ... in an executive order relating to the Affordable Care Act ... established "an adequate enforcement mechanism to ensure that Federal funds are not used for abortion services (except in cases of rape or incest, or when the life of the woman would be endangered), consistent with a longstanding Federal statutory restriction that is commonly known as the Hyde Amendment."

The Democratic Party platform is crystal clear in supporting the right to safe, legal abortion and repealing the Hyde Amendment, a position held by the majority of voters," Kelly Robinson, the executive director of the Planned Parenthood Action Fund, said in a statement on Wednesday.

Looks like Bernie supports the Democratic Platform more than Joe does.

You can spread every one fault of Trump's across all 24 candidates, make each the one issue that will drop him/her from the General.

By the time we here finish clay pigeon shooting we'll have a morally acceptable nominee who will lose to the most corrupt incumbent in US history, but the rest of the country will have chosen the nominee they can live with who will beat 45.

president.

Inslee IS a state executive -- the only one in the race who's a current governor -- who can be the Chief Executive of the country.

Yet people think it's okay to just ignore his accomplishments state side and internationally in working out trade agreements.

I understand how you feel, but it's really not a fair description of all us Biden supporters. Some things are way more important at this point -- winning and supporting all things progressive about Biden.

I'm for Inslee/Harris in 2020. I think he could win some primaries.

My only concern is whether or not will single issue voters stay home because of Biden's stance of the Hyde Amendment?

I know frump is selling off freedom and democracy for pennies on the dollar, and we're doomed if he's reelected.

I'm not declaring until we have a nominee. I adore Elizabeth, but if Biden can win, then he's got my vote.

Those who want to apply purity tests seem to miss the fact that none of this will matter if Donnie gets another 4 years. It’s not unlike conservatives who don’t want to do anything about climate change because it’ll hurt commerce. They don’t realize there will be no commerce if we’re all dead. The same applies for 2020.
