Rolling Stone: 3 Dems Who Top Most Disliked List

Sanders, de Blasio, Gabbard Top Democrats’ Most-Disliked List

The survey, conducted by Data for Progress, offers a glimpse at the Democrats who are truly polarizing the party, by measuring which candidates voters are “Not Considering.” Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio, and Hawaii Representative Tulsi Gabbard top the list of candidates Democratic voters have ruled out as they weigh their decision in the party’s primaries and caucuses.

But, hey it's early yet, right?
If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

... I won't bother to go into details, but I think everyone knows why. (Hint: his initials are Al Franken.)

As they say... the cream is starting to rise to the top (to use a dairy metaphor). Or, the dregs settle do the bottom (to use a coffee metaphor.)

I'm happy that things are starting to become clear this early. Oh, sure, I know there's more to go and a long way to get there... and those who find themselves in the unenviable position of cratering early will likely start-up a renewed and intensified round of attacks and smears on the party... and that will be maddening. But the good news is, from what I can see, for the most part voters are rejecting that type of politics and those types of smears and attacks.

And... the current poll numbers prove that.

remember ANY mayor of NYC that the people there liked. I remember, being a polite kid who grew up in Texas, how shocked I was at the attitude New Yorkers had toward their mayors. And if you wanted a quiet cab ride you had to practically bribe cabbies NOT to give you an earful in your cab ride (the way my father would when he visited me in NYC).

I am not the least bit surprised that the "people who live in the city" can't stand him. They hate him the way they hated Koch, Dinkins (first black NYC mayor), and Lindsay (OMG, too WASPY). and on and on.

It's just what New Yorkers do. I would think there was something wrong with them if they didn't...

New Yorkers ALWAYS bitch about their mayors: always. It's what they do. I was surprised to hear all the complaining they did about every single mayor they had while I was living there in the early 1960s. I was surprised but then I got used to it.

May 2019

First of all I don't know how this thread isn't considered bashing Democrats just because it was done under the cover of a poll. I will overlook my opinion and move on with my suggestion.

The same people who did the poll in this thread did another poll that shows that millennials were by far the largest group of voters who didn't vote for president in 2016.

Think about that. People had better check out how popular Bernie, de Blasio, and Tulsi are with millennials before posting an article that is going to piss off millennials.

I couldn't get my graph to work. You will have to take my word about millennials.

I have another suggestion. Why just eliminate 3 candidates? Why not eliminate all but 3 based on this poll? Do we really want to go to the convention with a bunch of candidates and not be able to select our nominee on the first ballot? That means we bring back super delegates to choose our nominee and just a guess here but I bet that when super delegates start picking people who didn't win the popular vote a lot of our Democratic voters are going to get pizzed off.

Just a suggestion; whittle our list down to 3 based on a poll so that we don't have confusion at our convention.

If my graph didn't work in the middle of my post I apologize. It was a graph that showed that millennials were the largest group who didn't vote for president in 2016. The graph was done by the same people who are cited in this thread.

I voted for Biden for president in 2007, did you?

I am not anti-Biden, I am anti Democratic purity tests, it's why I sport Tulsi's pic. She is battered here more than Bernie. I remember history, like when only 1 Democrat in the House voted no to allowing Bush to invade Iraq, remember, Barbara Lee? She was bashed by Democrats as being unpatriotic, but she had the foresight to see what would happen if we removed a brutal dictator in Iraq. Once again we are called upon to remove a brutal dictator in Syria and Tulsi opposes it and just like Barbara Lee Tulsi is called unpatriotic. Never mind that Tulsi is only 1 of 2 of our candidates to have served our country in the military.

My only complaint with Tulsi was her LBGTQ positions and she has since publicly apologized and admitted that she was wrong.

I am here to stand up for all of our candidates because one of them may just be our nominee.

now and these high negative polls for these candidates?

BS is the one who's always going negative.. why wouldn't it backfire on him?

Gabbard brings it on herself too.. I know she's my Rep... And, I hear from NYers that di Blasio isn't doing a good job as Mayor in NYC.

the same polling outfit that is cited in your thread also polled the fact that it was millennials who didn't vote for president in 2016. I'm just saying, blame whomever, but I don't want history to repeat itself. Hopefully now that we are aware of what Russia did and what dirty Republicans did on social media we won't have a repeat of 2016.
