When did you become a Pastafarian and why?
Now that you are a believer in the one and only true god, the Holy Flying Spaghetti Monster,
why not share the joyous news of how, when and why you became a true believer?
What led you to see its noodly light? What convinced you? What were you before? A bronze age religion cultist? Some other religion cultist? Or **shudders** an atheist?
This thread will serve at least three beautiful purposes:
1 reinforce our beliefs by seeing how we all followed different paths to the one true Truth.
2 help non believers visiting our forum to see the light by examples they can relate to
3 give believers a toolkit of reasons to convince pastastheists, unbelievers in the holy FSM.
I am joyously impatient to hear all your wonderful unique paths to His Truth, the total beatitude one can only find in the infinite goodness of Pastafarianism.
Came for the sauce.
Stayed because it makes as much, if not more sense, than other religions.
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was 'ARRRRGH!'" - PIRATICUS 13
In the Name of the Pasta, and of the Sauce, and of the Holy Meatballs".
.. can't you folks come to our religion for its essence?
...... when I realized it made more sense than all the other religions put together!
All truth is in the pasta forever and ever.
Any deity that promises to provide a beer volcano has earned my worship. Especially since in this life, I'm allergic to beer and can't drink it without breaking out in hives. Yes, it's a horrible affliction and you can't imagine how I suffer. I have faith that in the afterlife, I won't have this problem and I intend to make full use of the beer volcano.
Where is your spirituality, I ask of you?
I'm allergic to other alcoholic beverages, also. Do you understand what that means? Not only can't I have a glass of beer with my plate of pasta, but my sauce can't even have any wine in it! And, to add insult to injury, I can't drink rum, either.
Deities get what they earn, as far as I'm concerned. The FSM has promised me a beer volcano in the afterlife, and has thereby earned my respect and even worship. If he wants spirituality too, he can cure me of this rotten affliction in this life. Then, and only then, will I be able to participate fully in this religion, and be in full communion with the FSM and with fellow Pastafarians.
I mean, I don't know if I could bear life with your allergy.
Life without beer? Wine? Rum? Whisky? Sake? Aquavit?
Count me out.
I felt that i was born again into the FSM's many noodles about three years ago.
I did not forgo my old religion, but could now come to his deliciousness through the pasta and the sauce, forever and ever.
But you must follow your unique path to beer volcano salvation.
Okay, I'm here because I have a crush on one of the members. Hey, this isn't the first church I've gone to for that very same reason.
That, and I got a coupon in the mail for $3 off a jar of Ragu. I felt it was a sign.
If only Bronze Age religions could provide solid proofs like that,
millions of people might take them seriously.
