how do I tell if this is a legit link for donations?

I copy/pasted a post from a comment on a Bernie post in my facebook feed-

In the comment it had this link to donate to Bernie:

https://secure.actblue.com/entity/fundraisers/39795

someone made a comment to my post suggesting it was not a legitimate link

how do I know for sure?

thanks!

The Sanders campaign uses ActBlue and this link is correct.

Whoever made that post either is ignorant or willfully attempting to confuse you and others.

But it is good for everyone to discuss these issues as there will be plenty of fake sites out there. THanks for your input.

I think DU member Omaha Steve started this donation page for our group. Here is the link again:

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
