Still unplugging

[link:http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_culture_high/|

Just watched this powerful documentary. As I have posted many times now I am an ex republican who enthusiastic about supporting Senator Sanders. I keep finding powerful reasons to embrace the progressive cause. He is the only candidate addressing this head on. I am not sure my link went through. The documentary is The Culture High.

We put more people in prison than any other country.
Whites and blacks use pot on a per capita equal basis. Blacks are far more likely to be arrested and incarcerated.
There is a profit motive to fight the "war on drugs" by confiscating property.
The drug companies who own politicians (especially conservative politicians) fight legalization because pot would eliminate the need of many of these drugs.
Prisons are overfilled.

If we can help in any way with that endeavor, don't hesitate to ask!

I have clearly decided to support Sanders. I will not be voting for Trump under any circumstances. I cannot quite come to grips with voting for Clinton. Just being honest.

I now see myself as more of a Progressive than anything. What I am learning is the issues that Progressives have promoted end up being the right solution. In my humble opinion, and I say this with all due respect, it appears that Democrats seem satisfied with half measures when if you are going to fix it fix it all the way. I am still registered as a Republican.

hopeful we will present a candidate who can earn your vote. Believe me. I am hopeful we can present a candidate who can make us all proud, so we can all breathe a sigh of collective relief.

PS: Fair warning: Do not advocate, under any circumstance, for a Republican or third party candidate here on the boards. It gets quite touchy around here during election season. (not saying you would, just providing you some valuable info).

Thanks for the advice. I would never promote any candidate outside of the D realm and understand your friendly warning. My heart and mind is with Progressives and not with the Establishment. Cruz is a phony. Trump is too many names for me to list and none of them are good. If I had a gun to my head and was forced to pick between Clinton and Trump I might just tell them to pull the trigger. If I survived that I would vote for Clinton.
