When she talks about equal pay for equal work, that may mean lowering some peoples wages instead of

raising others, for example, bringing in foreign firms which are mostly male (we cannot tell them to hire women because there may not even be any female engineers or female nurses in those countries and companies) the shift to globalization will lower the average earnings of males making their wages the equivalent of females.

You have to think like a lawyer to understand what she says and what it really means.

We need to look into why we are unable to produce women engineers. Something in the system needs fixing here. There seem to be a lot of Chinese and Indian women who are engineers in tech firms. This is why we need a progressive to take over the Democratic Party.

The number of women entering engineering in particular has been shrinking.

I think there is some kind of learning curve or something.

Maybe part of it is engineers - sharing their love of and the joy of technology, mentoring. We have to mentor girls more.

That was a good thing.

Ive been lucky in the past to have met and in some cases known/ know a lot of female geek-luminaries- (not anymore now) but in the past i did- so i know its possible- I know how great it is.
