My Thanks to the Clintons

http://www.democraticunderground.com/10027733156#post29

I will be losing my food stamps.

A woman friend of mine raised two kids as a single Mom.

She is now helping put one through college.

She is fighting to keep from losing her house.

She gets up every day at 3 a.m. to go to her job as a cook/baker.

She will also lose her food stamps.

She has reentered an abusive relationship after breaking free for several months, as she found it impossible to handle it alone, and now it will be worse.

I still have a few bucks on hand, so in way of thanks to this Clintons for passing this "hate the poor" act on Bills watch, I am sending Bernie $25.

I hope you will do the same.

After all, we wouldn't want to seem to be ungrateful moochers.

God or who/whatever forbid She gets the nomination we are supposed to let bygones be bygones and vote for teh lesser of two evils yet again? For someone who is one of the people who are directly responsible for the drastic drop in our living standards? We're supposed to continue to be, in effect, ENABLERS in our own destruction? I say fuck that shit.

Linux is free, its a good thing to know about, because 99% of the apps on it are free too. Check out distrowatch.com - maybe you can find a distro you like, learn some cool stuff - pick up a side skill and make a bit of money?

Do you like electronics? there are a huge number of amazing electronics resources for people who want to use their computers to learn electronics.

Not for a job, so much, but just to learn and have fun, and entertain yourself without spending a lot of money.

Evil cannot be extinguished by evil, only consumed eventually by the greater evil and since Hillary is the lesser evil, she will be consumed and make even greater the great evil that is the immortal Deity!

Cthulhu 2016

because no matter which lesser evil you choose (if you choose evil at all) the greater evil will only consume it and run things anyway! Lets cut out the ceremonial middle-man (or woman) and get on with the inevitable destruction and mayhem!

Vote Cthulhu which is the greatest evil if you like evil at all, why not, he will only consume all lesser evils and run things regardless.

My h. s. girlfriend was a steelworkers daughter.
I married another steelworkers daughter in Pgh.
My daughter was born a steelworkers daughter.

All that went away with Reagan.

I met the woman I mentioned in the 90's, the lovely bohemian daughter of an Allentown steelworker.

I am fed up with seeing people I love get hurt by these self serving bastards.

"Students typically don’t imagine that a reincarnated Bodhisattva, Buddha or Precious One will want to get into their pants or bank account for personal pleasure or gain. Or that he will abuse, humiliate or endanger them because he’s sick or because he simply enjoys the prerogatives of power to harm, control and dominate.

When an idealized figure becomes a voice for spiritual teachings he can appear, to himself and others, to embody and source them."

seriously, breaking 2 inch thick concrete tiles is pretty much a parlor trick, and is frowned upon as ego tripping at least it was in my school. It does however require confidence out the ass to attempt.

is not called "The Razors Edge" for nothing...

"Certain journalists, quoting teachers from other Buddhist sects, have implied that Trungpa did not teach real Buddhism but a watered-down version for American consumption, or that his teaching was corrupted by his libertine outlook. After doing Vajrayana practices, reading texts on them by Tibetan authorities, and visiting Buddhist centers in the United States and Europe, I was satisfied that this allegation is untrue. The practices taught in Vajradhatu are as genuinely Buddhist as anything in the Buddhist world....
Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche, after the Tendzin scandal, insisted to Vajradhatu students that Trungpa had given them authentic dharma, and they should continue in it exactly as he had prescribed (Butterfield, 1994; italics added).
Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche—“Rinpoche” being a title meaning “Precious One”—was head of the oldest Nyingma or “Ancient Ones” School of Tibetan Buddhism from 1987 until his death in 1991.

Even with all that, Peter Marin (1995)—a non-Buddhist writer who taught for several months at Naropa in 1977—still validly observed that the activities at Naropa were relatively tame, compared to the oppression which could be found in other sects."

on Ash Wednesday we have a priest put ashes on our forehead to remind us of our mortality.

It is intefesting to see similar ancient tradition..

"The form of the Buddhist khatvanga derived from the emblematic staff of the early Indian Shaivite yogins, known as kapalikas or 'skull-bearers'. The kapalikas were originally miscreants who had been sentenced to a twelve-year term of penance for the crime of inadvertently killing a Brahmin. The penitent was prescribed to dwell in a forest hut, at a desolate crossroads, in a charnel ground, or under a tree; to live by begging; to practice austerities; and to wear a loin-cloth of hemp, dog, or donkey-skin. They also had to carry the emblems of a human skull as an alms-bowl, and the skull of the Brahmin they had slain mounted upon a wooden staff as a banner. These Hindu kapalika ascetics soon evolved into an extreme outcaste sect of the 'left-hand' tantric path (Skt. vamamarg) of shakti or goddess worship. The early Buddhist tantric yogins and yoginis adopted the same goddess or dakini attributes of the kapalikas. These attributes consisted of; bone ornaments, an animal skin loincloth, marks of human ash, a skull-cup, damaru, flaying knife, thighbone trumpet, and the skull-topped tantric staff or khatvanga.[16]"

The text then recounts the arrival of Christian missionaries at Xi’an, the eastern terminus of the Silk Road. The mission team was led by “a highly virtuous man named Alopen in the kingdom of Da Qin,” who “arrived in Xi’an in the ninth year of the period named Zhenguan” (A.D. 635). “The Emperor dispatched his Minister of State, Fang Xuanling, with an imperial guard, to the western suburb to meet the visitor and conduct him to the palace. The sutras were translated in the Imperial Library. [The Emperor] studied The Way in his own Forbidden apartments, and being deeply convinced of its correctness and truth, he gave special orders for its propagation.”
