Being retired, I don't have to go to work on this Friday morning, so head a leisurely bowl of cereal and cup of good coffee with the newspaper

I took our chocolate Mocha to the vet - she is healthy and happy and a spry, svelte 52 pound 9 year old.

My back (which hurt like hell last night in bed when I turned over awkwardly) is feeling much better after a warm bath

The Red Sox are back in the playoffs

My wife, away with a friend for a week, returns home tomorrow

That's my happy thoughts for today, and it is still mid morning!

I am very happy because I made my first sourdough bread today (from a potato mash starter using fresh potatoes from my garden and wild yeast from my elderberries) and it is Delicious! (...used to make all my own bread; just never sourdough)

...and, I drank a big glass of my newly brewed hard cider tonight... lots of yeast in my house I will be smiling like that little girl pretty soon....
