Once you're done reading them, just delete them. Or leave them; it doesn't matter!

If you mean your inbox, there is a button labeled "Delete all read mail" with three red X

I thought there was a way to delete any post, but it looks as though there isn't.
You could trash them but that would be laborious, since you could only do that one thread at a time.

groups you've subscribed to, in the order posted. A custom (for you) version of the Latest Threads page. I guess if you want it to be empty you could unsubscribe to all groups...
