All you need to do to include the image in your post is copy the web address into your message. For example, posting this link...

[div style="color:#000099; margin-left:1em;"]http://www.democraticunderground.com/imgs/logo-du3-150x48.gif
... should put that image in your post like this...

 

The web address for the image must be a jpg, gif, or png.

If the picture you want to use is on your computer, you can use a free image hosting site like imugr or photobucket to upload the image to the web and then use their direct link in your post.
