im kinda unsettled about the debt ceiling hoopla

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Emile (a host of the DU Community Help forum).

I know it will be raised because it has to and a deal will be made, but this is chaos compared to the boehner Paul Ryan days of congress and. Im pretty unsettled ive been on edge all week sorta and I put on msnbc for 2 days.

It's weird, because by analogy, it's like a very small group is holding a larger group hostage in order to hold a much larger group (us!) hostage. That's how minority rule works these days, until the spell is somehow broken.

They will end up with a debt limit increase with little to no change. It’s the budget that I worry will be a disaster. That where the cuts will most likely happen.

chaos compared to the Ryan days. On the debt ceiling issue, it is exactly the same game.

Joe lost the game last time. He learned from that. He's playing it right this time.
