Is the piece the is broke off his or hers or are both pieces or the one off to the side? Why does the Asian guy get a dollar plus 10 cents did he steal from hers? Why are some pieces at an angle and others parallel?

And why did they put "his" first?

Just like in history, see? They're not at the top (that'd be Asian males) but the symbol designating their income is used as the standard in this graphic.
