New Mexico poll: Obama up by 5%

A poll by the Alburquerque Journal conducted Sept. 3-6 among likely voters finds Obama ahead of Romney by 5%. http://www.abqjournal.com/main/2012/09/09/news/nm-presidential-race-close.html

Obama won NM in 2008 by 15%.

It is important to note that in 2008 no pollster accurately predicted Obama's large 15% victory.

Alburquerque Journal's poll in late September, 2008 had Obama ahead by 5%, a vast underestimation of the actual result. Rasmussen had Obama ahead by 10% and SurveyUSA by 7%, both underestimations.

this is funny, because Romney's "don't panic" memo said that NM is theirs.. progressivebydesign Sep 2012 #4

haha. They're citing the numbers and saying that New Mexico and New Jersey are theirs. As well as saying that the President's campaign is planning a "stealth withdrawal" of North Carolina because Romney is sooo strong there. They're desperate and deluded.

it polls better then Connecticut, which is also too blue for Romney.

New Mexico also has too many Latino voters to tip Romney's way.

Aren't Rombot's advisers hilarious?
