Related: About this forumThe DNC Voter Database Scandal Is A Much BIGGER Issue for the DNC & HILLARY Than Bernie Sanders
I dont know if the DNC quite realizes their negotiating position on kicking the Sanders campaign out of their database.
1. One of Hillarys biggest critiques is that shes a manipulative politician.
Guess what the DNC kicking Bernie out makes the Hillary Clinton campaign look like?
I think this is a bigger issue than the DNC thinks because it gets to the heart of the issue many people have with Clinton that shes a politician and not trustworthy.
While not having access to the voter database may hurt Bernies campaign, it only makes him look sympathetic in the media and to the grassroots.
Example of what Im seeing my FB/Twitter feeds.
2. If Clinton wins the primary, what does she need to do before the general election?
Reconcile with people who supported Bernie Sanders.
Good luck doing that if people think you cheated!

(72,790 posts)I don't think this will be a major factor in primary election results, and certainly not the GE.

If they do not promptly relent on his data access, I will not support her campaign should she win. I won't support the GOP so maybe Jill Stein (who I'm evaluating) or maybe I'll just take a good long break after nearly 50 years of this.

(22,189 posts)where is proof that someone in his campaign didn't tell the staff responsible for this to "go for it"?

RNC Statement On DNC Data Breach
DNC - December 18, 2015
WASHINGTON Republican National Committee (RNC) Chief Strategist & Communications Director Sean Spicer released the following statement in response to the DNC denying data to the Sanders campaign in order to bolster Hillary Clinton:
Every candidate has equal access to our superior data file at the RNC because we believe primaries should be a process free from party interference and that puts voters and campaigns first. Thats why it is so troubling to see the DNC engage in such heavy-handed favoritism benefitting Hillary Clinton, a pattern which will continue tomorrow night with another debate deliberately scheduled to limit viewership.
that this comes from the repugs is hitting me funny for some reason!
