I do know that members of DFA are strong activists who decided that the current Democratic Party is headed in the WRONG direction, and that they CAN and WILL do something to turn that around.

Extremely Motivated group of people with endless energy.
This is a BIG endorsement that , unlike the UNION endorsements, that reflects the opinion of the Rank & File members of DFA.

Bernie Sanders has earned Democracy for America's endorsement in the 2016 Democratic presidential primary with an astonishing, record-breaking 87.9% of the vote (including 77.8% of voters who were already members of DFA prior to the poll being launched on December 7).

That means the correct interpretation is the latter of the two you presented. The point of including the parenthetical was to show that the poll wasn't rigged -- even if it was limited to already-members Bernie would have still won. The word "including" is very important here.

"First, we'll run a 100% positive campaign for Bernie, without tearing down any other candidate and we'll support the eventual nominee – no matter who it is -- to make sure we keep Donald Trump, or any other Republican, out of the White House"

i.e. DFA will be nothing whatsoever like DU.

I told Jim (yes, we have each other on speed dial) that I disagreed with their decision to offer to endorse one or the other, but he is being sensible about the result, which is encouraging.

Of vocal people who will withhold their vote if Democratic Party incarnation of Veruca Salt manages to force herself down our collective throats, just like we have at DU.

There definitely are a few vocal people who are so mad at the Third Way bull pucky that they will just go home rather than vote for Queen Hillary I, and then there are the millions that will be so unmotivated they won't even bother coming out in the GE to vote for "Not So Republican Clinton". With a population of 700,000, chances are good they exist in the DFA too. Comes with the territory.

If you can't handle that, then you invested to much of your own ego in Her Inevitableness.

Neither Howard nor Jim is anything like that. Nor are any of the DFA people I have met on the phone (I only know Jim and Howard face to face--not too many local races here in Germany that DFA is involved in).

I doubt there is ANYONE seriously involved in DFA who not vote for the Democratic nominee, whoever it is. They would work just as hard for O'Malley as they would for either of the other two.

As for the anger part, well, like I said, DFA is nothing like DU. That's a problem they don't have.

As one of Hill's most self-important supporters smirkingly pointed out, DFA has just greatly increased their mailing list. My concern? They'll collect a lot of money and NOT use it to support Bernie in the primary, so it will be available for Hillary should she be the eventual candidate.

I voted in this DFA poll, and AFTER I voted for Bernie, I got this smarmy letter from Dean AND Hillary begging me to change my vote to Hillary. I do not trust DFA.

I'm making automatic monthly donations to Bernie, plus donations to 3 other progressive candidates.

But if you don't, well, you have at least 5 or 6 months to do something else with your money, as I don't see the nomination being decided much before that.

DFA was always mainly about getting involved in local races. They have neither the money nor the manpower to sway a national race. They will work for the Democratic nominee, whoever it is, but they will devote their national resources for Bernie as long as he is in the race, whether it's through June or through November.

I can ask Jim, and he might give me an approximate percentage--I doubt he will know it to the nearest decimal--, although their main thrust is local elections where their resources CAN sway close races. Whether or not he is cool with me posting it on an open board is another question entirely, and if he says no, than I will respect his wishes.

I'm sure that if you direct that question to Jim c/o DFA directly, that you will get an answer. They are not a huge staff up there in Burlington, and he does get serious inquiries directed to him.

Does anyone remember back in 08' HRC in a private fundraiser knocked the liberal group (Moveon.org)

We have been less successful in caucuses because it brings out the activist base of the Democratic Party," Clinton told donors in the audio clip. "MoveOn didn't even want us to go into Afghanistan. I mean, that's what we're dealing with. And you know they turn out in great numbers. And they are very driven by their view of our positions, and it's primarily national security and foreign policy that drives them. I don't agree with them. They know I don't agree with them. So they flood into these caucuses and dominate them and really intimidate people who actually show up to support me.

That is what the Clinton campaign feared back than and should again

You can call us fringe or can call us far left ,but you will respect our votes

Howard endorsed HRH. Howard WORKS FOR HRH. I HIGHLY DOUBT Howard Dean's DFA is going to let his organization endorse Bernie if the vote wasn't on the up and up...no cheating.

This result is right in line with every other online vote /poll. Bernie ALWAYS gets over 80%. All this whining and gnashing of the teeth from the sore losers makes me Embarrassed for them. It's seriously sad they can't accept the fact that HRH is NOT the chosen favorite of the DEMOCRATIC VOTERS. She just isn't going to win.

Two MILLION INDIVIDUAL DONATIONS, more than any candidate ever in history, DFA endorsement 271,000 - TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY ONE THOUSAND people took the time to vote and 87.9% voted for Bernie and another Huge Union endorsement yesterday. Sorry, but HRH isn't inevitable. Not even close. The tide is turning, just as planned.

FANTASTIC ENDORSEMENT! That's a LOT of campaign help.
