(57,936 posts)People give small donations when they can afford them. This is really a grass-roots campaign by the people and for the people and of the people. That's the way it should be.

(1,309 posts)encourage all the young people to spend 3 dollars or more. The number of donors counts a deal deal as well as the total dollars, as it shames Hilary's campaign who has far less donors and most of her money coming from the oligopoly, the same oligopoly of the rich who bought the republican party and now are showing their faith in investing full bore in Hillary. As FDR said to the rich, I welcome your hatred in regards to trying to stop him from helping the people and the country rather than them, Bernie too is much hated by the rich oligopoly and they are using very potent weapons to destroy them. The revolution never really stopped with us activists of the nineteen-sixties, we believers in democracy can be nothing less than democratic socialists and today believers in democracy whatever their label are turning to Bernie because as he says he really believes his belief is in democracy. Bernie as a believer in democracy fights the oligopoly and asks us to join him, Hillary does not do this, she is a financial beneficiary of the very rich oligopoly and seems more interested in assuaging the rage against them for the results of that control by offering half way measures which never directly challenge their paths to ever increasing shares of our productivity.

(3,425 posts)Strange that a all-time record in American Election Campaign Fundraising was broken, yet no mention of this historic, momentous event was not given any coverage in any major news outlet.
Wonder why that is?
Can anything be done about this?
