[font color="navy" face="Verdana"]Democrats have had two of the most brilliant men this nation has ever produced in President Clinton and President Obama.
Like everyone else, they're not perfect, but they both have fought the good fight for The People against relentless opposition and attempts to destroy them.
Unfortunately, the fact that they are brilliant also consolidates the opposition. As Jonathan Swift put it, "When a true genius appears, you can know him by this sign: that all the dunces are in a confederacy against him."
I'm so very grateful that both President Clinton and President Obama have been strong enough to accept this truth and continue fighting for ALL OF US in the face of such implacable, unreasoning hatred.

(12,904 posts)She has been working very hard on her speechifying. And it shows. She seemed very genuine, and with a real command of the issues facing our country. Impressive.
She also has the Clintonian way of connecting with people through ideas. It is about explaining the issue in such a way that everyone can understand how their lives are affected. Not easy to do.

Unfortunately, she'll also face the same kind of hateful opposition, but she's got the strength to overcome it. From what I've seen, it actually seems to energize her.
