Obama & Romney tied in Missouri

http://www.publicpolicypolling.com/main/2012/02/obama-romney-tied-in-missouri.html

Missouri will still be a tough state for Obama to win (as it was in '08), but I think it's certainly one he could flip back to the Democrats' side (in fact, I think he will).

Anyway, it's good to be tied with Romney in this state and I think it shows, overall, he's doing above where he needs to be to win reelection.

McCain won Missouri by .1% in '08, Bush won it by 7 in '04 and about 3 in '00.

Claire McCaskill is running neck-and-neck with likely GOP nominee Sarah Steelman at this point:

I say if McCaskill gets re-elected, Obama will win MO. By the same token, if Obama loses MO, McCaskill could be in trouble.

For once I can say I am proved of my Home state. As a white Liberal Democrat I am minority In Missouri. This shows we are headed
for 2008 redux here.

PPP also has the senate race tied here.

If Republican get depressed In turnout Obama could barely take Missouri. And that could help the senate race too.

In '06 we had a stem cell initiative that brought many reasonable people out to vote, which probably helped Claire McCaskill.

I'm sure republicans will think up some hot button ballot issue to drive right-wing rednecks to the polls.

I'd love to see Missouri turn blue for Obama, but I can't see it happening.

having Steelman as their Senator and Romney as the president.

Which ever party has the better ground game and GOTV efforts will win Missouri, if these poll numbers are any indication.
