That more debates do not equal better. We learned that last time with the republicans and again this time. It is not a good use of the candidate's time.

but 6 is not enough. And to schedule 2 of them:

1. on a Saturday night at the height of college football.

2. on a Sunday during the NFL playoffs

What the heck. Do they not want people to watch?

I could have gone to the movies last Friday night but instead I listened to Martin, Bernie and Hillary.
If voting and democracy are less important than football to you then watch football.
I think they should schedule football around the debates not the other way around.

but a lot of people didn't know it was on.

It's not necessarily what's more important it's that a lot of people won't know that they're on. Not everyone are political junkies like us.

My daughter had no idea about Rachel's forum last Friday, yet she's into politics. But between work and volunteer stuff she didn't see it. Luckily she has me to tell her and she dvr'd. But she's very politically aware.

It's as if these debates were scheduled in way so that people would miss them. They should have been done like they've always been done, during the week when people would be home to watch.

Sorry but I think this was intentional.

It is becoming obvious Sanders can't win the primary on his own. They are so up in arms about the debate for reasons other than what they are stating. They know full well the only way for Sanders to come out victorious is for Clinton to really step in it. They simply want to increase her opportunities for doing so. Literally, they are hoping a progressive loses, not that one wins. That is the mindset. It is one hundred percent in reality. Once they agree six is fine, it then moves to the timing of the six. Then when that is resolved, it's back to six isn't enough. They need Clinton to fuck up. That is the goal. It isn't about getting Sanders out there. The yearning for anything like that was put to bed at the last debate.

I've always had a problem with the number of debates.

I don't need Clinton to fuck up. I'm not a Bernie supporter. You can search DU and you will not find that I've said a foul word against either Bernie or Hillary.

I want to see more of Martin O'Malley. Is that ok? Why is that such a bad thing? What's with all the snark and nastiness I'm reading?

I'm a Democratic voter and have a right to ask to see more of a candidate running for President of the United States.

"I'm a Democratic voter and have a right to ask to see more of a candidate running for President of the United States. "

They are all over the country and on tv every single day. You couldn't see more of them if you wanted to.

"I want to see more of Martin O'Malley. Is that ok?"

That is more than ok. If he doesn't have a live event today I will be able to share multiple videos with you from him today.

"What's with all the snark and nastiness I'm reading?"

Because the time for this movement was months ago. It's kind of a joke to do it right now. People such as myself were actually writing and calling the DNC months ago. Posting ops here about doing it. Now it is nothing more than sour grapes.

"I'm not a Bernie supporter. You can search DU and you will not find that I've said a foul word against either Bernie or Hillary."

I truly don't see what is impressive about that considering both of them have taken foul stances on issues.

The first one was scheduled as late as DWS could get away with, giving Republicans tons more air time and oxygen than Democrats. The other three that have been scheduled were scheduled at the poorest times possible. And DWS flat out lied about having set the schedule with others at the DNC.

This smells to high heaven. I've called and emailed, because I think it's important to let them know we watch. However, I hold out zero hope that anything meaningful can or will be done at this point. I don't know if y'all have noticed yet, but our calls and emails have no impact, even on people who depend on our votes. (LOTE is a beautiful thing--for politicians. Stinks for the rest of us.) DNC officials do not depend on our votes. So, don't get your hopes up too high.

The last two debates are after February 1st. Fitting one debate in February is going to be hard. Fitting 2 is not going to happen. Super Tuesday is March 1st. Historically, the nominee has been decided by then. So there will be no reason to schedule the last two debates after that date.

We aren't getting 6 debates. We're getting 4.

If it's a lone receptionist and switchboard operator, then I hope he or she won't have to deal with too much abuse. (It could be that they have an automated operator with voice recognition and all call of this nature could be forwarded to an all-purpose "complaints" voicemail box.)

I just called about the lack of debates and the horrible debate schedule. Call have your friends and family call. Make them hear you your displeasure/anger. They're getting at least 12 calls from my family today. I'm working on friends now.

Don't complain if you're not willing to do something as simple as pick up a phone and make you voice heard.

Please call....repeatedly if necessary.
