Bernie Sanders?! From Vermont?

Doc Brown is feeling the Bern.
That is, Christopher Lloyd, the actor who played the zany scientist in the Back to the Future film franchise, took some time on Wednesday to pose in character for a photo alongside Democratic presidential hopeful Sen. Bernie Sanders. The date was not coincidental, of course, as Oct. 21, 2015, is the day Doc and pal Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) travel to in a time-tripping DeLorean.
Posting the photo to Twitter, Sanders wrote, Tell me, future boy, whos President of the United States in 2017? Bernie Sanders. Bernie Sanders?! From Vermont?

(3,005 posts)Christopher Lloyd used to live in Santa Barbara (actually, in a small community just east of S.B.). I used to see him on rare occasions in restaurants and such. He was the "grand marshal" of the nighttime Christmas parade in S.B. about 10 years ago. It was fun to see him in the parade.
His house was completely destroyed by a wild fire a few years back. It was reported that he lost all of his BTTF memorabilia. I never found out if he re-built, bought elsewhere nearby, or moved out of town.
I'd like to know where he lives now. I hope he still lives locally, but I don't know.
On another note - just about everyone involved in BTTF is still living, are in generally good health, and most are still actively working. Some sort of BTTF-based movie reuniting all of these actors in their original roles would be cool - sort of like they're doing with Ford, Fisher and Hamil in the upcoming Star Wars continuation.
