New Romney Attack Ad Video Uses Footage Of Obama Singing - (video)

After the Obama campaign hit Mitt Romney with a brutal ad featuring Romney singing, the Romney campaign is out with a new web video Monday morning using footage of President Obama famously singing a line of Al Green’s “Let’s Stay Together” back in January. The video is titled “Political Payoffs And Middle Class Layoffs” and the line – “I’m so in love with you” – is used in the video as a love note from the president to his donors.

not the donors. Sorry mittens. Ya gotta get clip of him singing in the shower so you won't hear the Americans screaming in support of him in the background.

He didn't have that problem getting a clip of your singing. No fans screaming for you, Rmoney.

And does Romney REALLY want to open the door on who is donating to each candidate, and who is beholden to special interests?

Really?

totally misses the ball.

The can't play Obama singing because of the cheering in the background.

Without the singing, there is no sound to draw the audience in to actually watch and read the ad.

You don't hear the words of the song juxtaposed against the reality of the person's deeds. Just people cheering and then supposed scary chords of music.

Many people don't know the song Obama is singing, so can't fill in the blanks. Everybody grew up with the song Mitt's singing, and knows it's meaning. They don't need to fill in any blanks...it's all drummed up with the off key rendition.

And to me, the clincher is this. It becomes just another example of Mitten stealing from the creators. He lacks the ability to create a brilliant, or even very good, ad. He's too cheap to pay somebody truly brilliant at what they do. So he hires somebody on the cheap to do a cheap knockoff and try to pass it off as the real thing.

FAIL.

Not particularly original, the attacks don't quite have the sticking power that the Bain attacks against Romney in Firms does, and of course, there's a distinct aftertaste of racism...

There's no juxtapostion like in the Firms ad - like Romney singing "America! America" juxtaposed with a Swiss flag, or example.

Oh, and probably not good for them to include the sound of cheering with Obama's singing - looks like they couldn't edit that out. The cheering has the effect of putting the lie into the ad.

Just a cheap imitation.

Come on at least our Prez. can sing! Maybe a singing duet with Beyonce!
