3. I worked as an election judge this year. The one negative part of the experience

was an angry, old white women venomously telling the black man behind her "Don't stand so close to me!!" I seriously doubt her meaning was anywhere close to The Police lyrics. I was about 15 feet away and to the side of them and happened to catch the eyes of the young man as I looked up, probably with my jaw dropping. We shared a sigh and a simultaneous eye roll at the angry old white woman's behavior.
