The Supreme Court is playing a very clever game.

Its recent decision to not rule on gay marriage across the country takes attention away and distracts from the fact the Court is in the pocket of big business and the GOP. Sure, they have destroyed any semblance of democracy by saying money equals free speech and reaffirming corporations are people, but look how nice the Court is being to gays. I despise this court.

where the conservative justices can say they respect states rights and appear to be socially liberal to add some reasonable doubt.

That is a loaded term that completely goes off course. Carefully calculated political decisions are now conspiracies? Are you unaware of how politicized the Supreme Court is?

Second, although many decisions break down on political lines, most do not. A majority of decisions are 9-0. The four liberals on the court vote with both Roberts and Scalia a majority of the time.
