They probably billed for the amount of time it took to prepare the bill, in fact. This went on until my savings were drained, and then I had to defend myself. The legal system is only for people who can afford lawyers. The rest of us are totally fucked.

Our legal system does suck for people without money.

(280 posts)Hopefully there is some legislation on the books that limits what can be compensated in these Christie cases. Like Medicare, payment limits. Also, if he loses there should be a required repayment to the taxpayer. With financial responsibility may come accountability before the trial, like..'I did it', or at least,'I resign to spend more time with my family'.
