Related: About this forumTed Cruz, accused of using Obamacare fight to run for president, prods House GOP to stand firm
WASHINGTON Sen. Ted Cruz kept up the pressure on House Republicans to stand firm against Democratic efforts to fund Obamacare suggesting yet again that he may not be able to round up enough allies in the Senate to block the health care law.
The House is the only body where the Republicans have a majority and so the House has to lead on this, he said.
Appearing on Fox New Sunday, the Texas freshman reiterated a vow to filibuster or throw up other procedural roadblocks if Senate Democrats try to strip a provision from the House-passed budget that would keep the government running for three months, except for Obamacare.
But he said, with Republicans in the minority in the Senate, theres only so much that he and other tea party allies can do.

My take is that Cruz is just trying to elevate his position as "kingmaker" in the Republican party. I don't think, given Hillary as the Democratic candidate, they can afford for the Cruz' circus act to continue past 2014. Hispanics might not even support it, given the immigration experience of many regarding the Dreamers.
Then there is Bachmann and her dual citizenship ... Swiss ... at least Cruz didn't make a choice to become a dual citizen as she did.

Then there's McCain...Panama...got Congress to OK it, just to be sure.
