Ingraham pointed out that the President and Treasury Secretary have said the economy is getting better, with more job being created on a monthly basis. Romney himself, she added, has said there are signs improvement on the horizon. So, how do you answer the Presidents argument that the economy is getting better in a general election campaign if you yourself are saying that its getting better?
Well, of course its getting better, said Romney. The economy always gets better after a recession. The question, he continued, is whether its getting better because of something the President has done, or whether hes delaying that inevitable recovery. You can guess which side of the fence Romney falls on.
Isnt that a hard argument to make? asked Ingraham.

And he's right. There isn't a better argument to make. It's the only one the GOP can make considering how fast the economy is coming back.

(9,644 posts)Rmoney suggested that president Obama is purposely delaying the recovery. When in fact, it is republicans in congress and the senate, and dare I suggest the supreme court who are holding up legislation and cabinet appointments.
I would also suggest that to some extent businesses are holding up the recovery by sitting on hoards of cash while reaping better profits and margins.
'That witch' actually suggested republicans are responsible for holding up the recovery - and yes - it appears he shut that argument down in the bud.

(15,438 posts)but I didn't hear the broadcast so I went solely by the excerpt I'd read.
But it could be possible that she had.

(9,644 posts)Not really an endorsement of Obama. Seemed like she was just trying to get Rmoney to clearly stake out his position.
Note: I just read the write up as well. I don't 'watch'.

(15,438 posts)and I don't listen to her here in L.A. where she's stationed. I didn't mean to imply you watched a Fox Snooze broadcast. If it came across that way, my apologies.
